MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police need help identifying suspects wanted in the shooting of an officer who was working as a security guard Tuesday.

The suspects are also wanted in a robbery in the 2200 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard and Theft from a Motor Vehicle in the 800 block of Poplar Avenue.

The shooting happened Tuesday around 6:20 a.m.

The off-duty MPD officer was working security at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital when he was shot, according to police.

The suspects were in a black 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix that had been taken earlier that morning during a robbery.

The stolen car has been recovered, according to police.

One of the suspects was wearing all black, and one was wearing a yellow traffic vest.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
