JACKSON, Miss. — Mississippi has released guidelines for high school sports to resume amid the ongoing pandemic.

Masks will be required for entry to all stadiums and gyms, according to a release from MHSSA.

All game day personnel will be screened prior to working an event.

Concession stand workers and restroom attendants must wear masks and gloves, according to the release.

Dressing rooms will be sanitized before and after each game.

Cheer and dance teams will be spaced out on sidelines for appropriate social distancing.

Competing schools will not be able to visit before or after a game or during halftime, according to the release.

Hand sanitizing stations will be present in football stadiums.

Football players may not share uniforms, towels or equipment, and physical contact such as handshakes, fist bumps, etc. will not be allowed.

Footballs will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the game, according to the release.
