MLGW to host mobile food pantry
Families must show a form of identification with a Tennessee address for food pick-up.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Light, Gas and Water announced the company has partnered with the Mid-South Food Bank for a mobile pantry.

The mobile pantry will take place July 2 at Joyce Blackmon Training Center, 4949 Raleigh-LaGrange Rd., according to a press release.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last.

Families picking up food should enter via the west entrace off Raleigh-Lagrange Road and exit on the east side.

Cars will line up on the south side of the road leading into the west entrance to ensure smooth traffic flow.

MLGW security will be onsite.

All Tennessee families must show a valid ID, such as a driver’s license or utility bill showing their address, according to the press release.

No more than two families per vehicle will be allowed.

Forms will be distributed and must be filled out and collected onsite prior to food pickup.

Families must remain in the car; food will be placed in cars by volunteers.
