“I am still trying to put words together.. but tears still fills my eyes with hurt in my heart for the loss of a husband and father that was just doing his job early yesterday morning. Yes, he was a delivery driver for PFG our food delivery company....these gentleman in this occupation are some of the nicest and most honest hardworking folks we know. I seen the eyes of many of his coworkers that came to the store yesterday morning when they heard the news... the HURT IN THEIR EYES TOLD THE WHOLE STORY. (and, i don’t even know why i am saying this but at this point and time with so much going on in Memphis and the entire World, I think it needs to be said... the driver was a white mid age gentleman and the shooter seems to be a white young man through looking at all the video) ALL I CAN SAY IS THIS IS A FIRST at a Jack Pirtle’s location in our 64 years in business... PLEASE KEEP HIS FAMILY, HIS CO WORKERS, JACK PIRTLE’S FAMILY, PFG FAMILY AND EVERY DELIVERY DRIVER IN THE CITY OF MEMPHIS in your thoughts and prayers.. these folks can NEVER EVER be appreciated enough for the job they do that truly connects to every person and every business and every household.”
