MPD still searching for driver in hit-and-run that killed cyclist

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are still looking for a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash.

MPD said the accident happened at E. Holmes Road and Waldrop on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020.

Around 9:30-9:45 p.m., a cyclist was hit by a car in the 1300 block of E. Holmes.

MPD said the cyclist appeared to have been riding a bike in the curb lane when he was hit and killed.

The car that hit him fled the scene.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing, MPD said.
