SCHD announces locations, dates for second COVID-19 vaccine shots

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Health Department has announced locations and dates for those needing their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Residents who received the vaccine at Lindenwood Christian Church and at the Sycamore View location will be able to get their second dose of the Moderna vaccine.

Second doses will be available as early as Jan. 27, according to SCHD.

The second dose will be given at multiple locations.

Last week, the SCHD announced Germantown Baptist Church as a possible vaccination site.

Vaccines will be provided only to those who received the first doses during the December 28, 2020 – January 3, 2021 timeframe.

You should not request an appointment if you have not received a first dose of the vaccine, SCHD said.

January 27 – January 29, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; January 30, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

First dose vaccinations will resume during the second week of February, the health department said.

You can call 901-222-SHOT (7468) for appointment information. The hotline is up and running from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seven days a week.
