SCSO identifies 18-year-old found shot to death at local apartments Sunday afternoon

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old was found shot to death Sunday afternoon in southeast Shelby County, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a shooting around 2:15 p.m. in the 5500 block of Shakespeare Drive at the Ashland Lakes Apartments off Stateline Road.

According to SCSO, the victim has been identified as Preston Williams.

A homicide investigation is underway, according to SCSO.
