MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Southwest Tennessee Community College today announced it will hold a virtual commencement ceremony to recognize the graduating class of 2020.

The college will hold its Spring 2020 commencement via livestream June 13 at 10:30 a.m., according to a press release.

Graduates will submit videos showing them turning their tassels.

These videos will be featured during the ceremony, along with slides that will include each graduate’s name, credential and any honors earned, according to the press release.

The college will host a curbside cap and tassel pick-up event tomorrow from 9 a.m. til noon on the Macon Cove and Union Avenue campuses.

College officials will practice social distancing and wear masks and gloves when they hand out these items.

Students are asked to wear face coverings.

STCC invites the public to join in celebrating by watching and sharing the commencement on social media, and by tagging @SouthwestTN and using the hashtag #SWCommencement2020 or #SWGrad2020.
