MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The tax-free holiday weekend on certain items begins today in the Mid-South.

Clothing, technology and other items will be sold tax-free.
In Mississippi, clothing, footwear and school supplies must be $100 or less per item to qualify.
Items ordered by mail, telephone or Internet are also eligible.
Arkansas’ tax-free weekend begins Saturday and runs through Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

In Tennessee, electronics must be $3,000 or less to qualify.
Things like jewelry and sports equipment will not be tax-exempt.
A second tax-free weekend in Tennessee begins August 7.
This tax-free event will include food and drink purchased at restaurants.
