Vaccines resume in Whitehaven after weather caused many to reschedule

Memphis, Tenn. — People in Shelby County are once again receiving COVID-19 vaccines after Winter weather caused operations to close.

The Shelby County Health Department site in Whitehaven opened back up Saturday.

People who had appointments canceled on February 11 and 12 were able to get their second shot of the vaccine on Saturday, their rescheduled date.

If you had a vaccine appointment for February 16,18 or 19, it has been rescheduled for the same time this Sunday at the Whitehaven site.

Vaccine appointments from February 17 will be made up on the 24th, SCHD said.

The Southwest Tennessee Community College vaccine site in Whitehaven was the only site to reopen this weekend.

All other vaccine locations will remain closed through Sunday.
