W.C. Handy Museum announces reopening date
The Museum was closed for three months due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis’ W. C. Handy House Museum announced it will reopen this week.

The Museum, located on Beale Street, will reopen Thursday after being closed for three months amid the ongoing pandemic, according to a press release.

Social distancing protocols will be in place, and all visitors will be required to wear face masks.

Tours will take place every 30 minutes with a limit of 10 visitors per tour, according to the press release.

Hand sanitizier will be available.

The Museum will be cleaned throughout the day.

Temporary hours of operation are Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the press release.
