A 13-year-old Arkansas boy was found in Memphis after he ran away from home in his grandmother's car.
SCSO spokesperson Earle Farrell says they pulled him over around 6 am.
“The car is equipped with OnStar so they were able to track him,” he said.
The teenager ran away from Saline County, Arkansas. It is around three hours away from Shelby County.
“This is a kid driving at night on the interstate, and very busy interstate at that,” Farrell said.
Investigators said he was headed to see his girlfriend.
Officers found him at mile marker 22 on I-40 around 7:00 Thursday morning.
