MARION, Ark. - A 16-year-old has died as a result of injuries he suffered during an officer involved shooting in Marion, Ark.
The teen has been identified as Aries Clark.
The shooting happened Tuesday night outside East Arkansas Youth Services on Cypress Avenue. Clark was originally critically wounded, but state police said he died at a Memphis hospital overnight.

Officers with the Marion Police Department responded to the facility shortly after 8 p.m. Moments later, gunshots were fired by police on the front lawn of the facility.
A county judge wrote on Facebook that the victim was, "believed to have been a resident that left the center a couple days ago and returned [Tuesday] night."
Arkansas State Police, Crittenden County Sheriff's' Office, and Marion Police Department were at the shooting scene last night. ASP has taken over the investigation.

Two Marion police officers are on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation according to Marion Police Department.
The police department additionally confirmed that no one from Crittenden County Sheriff's Office fired shots.
