• 21 cats rescued by Memphis Animal Services needing homes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - 21 cats were rescued by Memphis Animal Services Wednesday and are now in need of permanent homes.

The cats were found at a home in Midtown after the owner was evicted.

MAS said they usually have plenty of space for cats, but 13 others were taken in Wednesday (strays and owner surrenders), and they are now almost at capacity.

MAS said they have not euthanized a single cat for space so far this year.

Special adoption discounts are being offered starting Thursday to help the animals get homes quickly.

Cat adoptions will cost only $10.
