• 6 suspects in custody after attempted robbery in Southaven


    SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Six suspects are in custody after an attempted robbery in Southaven, Mississippi. Police tell us the thieves tried to break into Dabbs Gun and Pawn on Highway 51.

    Southaven police telling FOX13 it was a nosey neighbor who heard a fence shake. That neighbor calling police about the noise is responsible for stopping a pawn shop burglary. Six people have been arrested in the case.

    Police told FOX13 when they arrived on the scene at Dabbs Pawn and Gun three of the suspects were still on top of the building.

    Three others were arrested during the manhunt that followed. They were tracked down with K-9 units.

    Police said one of the would-be burglars was so panicked after hearing the dogs barking, he called 911 and told them to call of the dogs, and he would give up.

    Most of the suspected thieves are juveniles. Police believe two of them are connected to an attempted break-in back in December.
