Repairs on A.W. Willis are continuing to cause headaches for commuters from Mud Island.
Railroad track repairs on A.W. Willis began on Monday and are expected to last about a week. The street is completely closed to through traffic between Front Street and Island Drive.

The repairs include the total reconstruction of the CN Railroad and MATA track crossing near Front Street.
Residents on Mud Island will be limited to N. Mud Island Road during the construction period. The detour route uses Island Drive and Second Street.
