• Child shot at bus stop in Southwest Memphis

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A child was shot early Tuesday morning.

    Police said it happened in the 1700 block of West Shelby Drive at a bus stop. 

    Police said an 11-year-old boy allegedly found a gun at the bus stop, picked it up, and accidentally himself in the hand.

    The child was transported by private vehicle in non-critical condition to LeBonheur Childrens Hospital. 

    Police are still investigating to determine exactly how this happened.
