According to her daughter, Karen Ellis Clay, Eula Ellis was just doing her daily routine.
"Makes me angry, why would you target an old lady. You know how much money you thought she had in her purse. With catching the bus. The way things are these day's nobody walking around with money like that. Because, there's so much happening," Clay said.
She was initially rushed to Regional One Medical Center in critical condition. We've learned the woman is now in stable condition.
Witnesses said the gunmen took off in a dark colored SUV. If you have any information, you are urged to contact police.
Clay has a message for whoever pulled the trigger.
"You're a coward. You can't have any home training. Whatever went wrong in your life, I really don't know. I can't say what I want to say."
