MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Federal Trade commission is warning of a new scam. This time it's surrounding the Equifax breach.
Scammers call and say they are with the company.

They then "verify your information." But, that verification is actually stealing your identity.
Nancy Crawford with the Better Business Bureau told FOX13 people need to be on the lookout.
More than 140 million people may have had their information leaked after the Equifax breach.
When a major story makes headlines, according to her, scammers take use it as an opportunity to prey on the vulnerable.
