Illness shuts down Memphis school until next week

An entire school is shutting down for the rest of the week due to illness.

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School announced on their Facebook page that a broad range of illnesses has had such an effect on students,staff, and faculty, that they will close until Monday.

The goal is to prevent further spread of sickness.

All after-school activities and athletics are also canceled until Monday.

The school is even bringing in a professional cleaning company to disinfect the campus.

Athletes in tournaments this week are told to contact their coaches for further instructions.
