A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered for information leading to Fletcher's arrest.
Smith's body was found floating in the lake on July 29.
Fletcher was developed as a person of interest after he was spotted in the victim's truck at a gas station near Holly Springs.
Family members identified Fletcher from the video.
USA Today shared a report from a newspaper called The Town Talk in Louisiana. That report states a woman found someone she later identified as Fletcher inside her home, but he was chased away by her dog.
This was in the North Latt Lake area.
Now, the sheriff in Grant Parish is asking residents to make sure their vehicles, homes, and windows are locked as a heavy search is underway.
Four warrants were issued for Fletcher, in addition to his Mississippi warrant. He's now wanted in Louisiana for home invasion, aggravated burglary, criminal trespassing, and simple burglary of a shed/shop.
