MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Animal Services is lowering the adoption fees for dogs after receiving 17 dogs from an MPD criminal case.
MAS said those dogs have to be kept separate from the general population and are being kept in a different wing. They will be kept there until the case is resolved.

MAS added that keeping that wing separate for these dogs has created a hardship on available space. They are at capacity and said they need to get dogs adopted so animals will not be euthanized.
Through Friday, February 17, it will cost $50 to adopt a dog from MAS. That includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test, collar, leash, and a customized tag.
