MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man has been charged with killing a Memphis father as he dropped his 6-year-old daughter off at her mother's house in Raleigh.
Johnathan Morris reportedly told officers he shot 29-year-old Courtney Anthony. Morris said he and Anthony got into an argument and he, "unloaded" on the victim with an AR-15.
Anthony’s mother Phyllis Conwell was at the crime scene minutes after the shooting.
“This was unnecessary,” she said. “The man didn’t have to act like a coward and shoot and kill him.”
