A Memphis father died after he was shot while driving in South Memphis.
Police were called to the scene at Crump and Mississippi around 12:05 a.m. When officers arrived, they found shell casing in the street and saw a car crashed into a light pole at Crump and Lauderdale.
"To take someone's life how can you live with taking someone's life how can you go on day by day knowing that you killed someone's husband," said LaSheka Sanderson.
The driver of the vehicle was dead. Police told FOX13 he was shot at least once. However, police do not know if it was the gunshot or that crash that killed the victim
Family members identified the victim as Lorzono Davis, 28. He was the father of a four-year-old.
Loronzo Davis's sister stood just down from the crime scene trying to make sense of it.
"Just shoot him like whatever happened. It's like they did nothing, they don't care they got no feelings or not hurting and we are hurting so bad," Sanderson said.
Davis leaves a four-year-old daughter behind. His mom is in pain trying to figure out what to tell the little girl.
"We don't even know what we're going to tell her. She loves her daddy, she always wants to be with him," Carolyn Miller said in tears.
