MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Tennessee Health Commissioner has suspended new admissions to the Cummings Foster Home in Memphis.

Cummings is an 11-bed home for the aged in the 1100 block of Englewood St.

Conditions found during a life safety survey done July 12 led to the suspension.

Violations of building standards were found, but the Commission has not gone into detail on those violations.

The home will be able to go before a judge or licensing board to contest the suspension of admissions.
