Christmas came early for a Memphis mother, and the video showcasing the moment is going viral.

Grant Jackson grew up in Memphis and attended Jackson State University for a year, but he ultimately decided to serve the country and join the military. He is an E3 Airman 1st Class in the United States Air Force.

For nearly two years, he’s been stationed in Okinawa, Japan, working as an Aerospace Maintenance Tech. On Tuesday, he walked into his mother’s living room to deliver the surprise of a lifetime.

Grant’s sister, Brittany Pettis, posted the video of the reunion on Facebook. It has been viewed more than 1 million times. Watch the video below:

Brittany told FOX13 Grant will be in the states for about two weeks. The family is hoping to go to a Memphis Grizzlies or Tigers game – since Grant is a big fan of both hometown teams.
