An Amber Alert is active for a 5-month-old who Memphis police said was taken by her non-custodial father.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is searching for 5-month-old Ayla Settles.

Officers said Settles was taken by her non-custodial father 19-year-old Alvin Lloyd around 1:50 a.m. at the Hillview Apartments.

Lloyd is said to have a mental disorder.

FOX13 discovered Lloyd was arrested twice within the last 12 months.

In February, Lloyd was arrested for domestic violence after his girlfriend told police he put a knife to her neck and locked her out of the apartment. According to court records, he also threatened to shoot anyone who tried to enter the apartment.

Prior to that incident, Lloyd was accused of breaking into a woman's home and kicking a wall down.
