MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating four Saturday morning robberies in Downtown Memphis.
Going into the beginning of Memphis May, leaders from the Memphis Police Department and the Downtown Memphis Commission said safety of festival goers was priority number one.

FOX13 learned from the Memphis Police Department the crimes occurred after the festival.
MPD officers were called to one robbery in the 600 block of S. Front at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. $9 in cash was taken.
Also at 2:30 a.m., $1 was stolen from a victim at Main St. and Beale St. Police said the suspect in that incident was Jimmy Walker.
At 3:30 a.m. $20, a Taking Back Sunday shirt, $120 in makeup, and a $40 camo backpack were stolen.
Then at 3 p.m. Saturday, a $15 straw hat was stolen from someone on N. Front Street.
Police told FOX13 they were able to make an arrest in one of the robberies.
Festival goers said they see law enforcement doing as much as they can to keep the peace and people safe.
