• Neighbor captures video of suspected robber's dramatic arrest in Midtown

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. - An otherwise quiet neighborhood in Memphis was disturbed Friday, when a police pursuit ended with an arrest in front of their doorsteps.

    Memphis police said the man is a suspected robber, but hadn’t identified him by name as of Friday afternoon.

    Patrick Durkin recorded video after the commotion woke him up from a nap at his home on Philadelphia Street in the Cooper-Young neighborhood. 

    No one was injured during the arrest, according to MPD.

    Neighbors said the suspected robber stopped a car on East Parkway near Oliver Ave, and then ran from police. 

    Police investigated a black four-door Chevy SUV that was parked on East Parkway after the arrest, according to FOX13’s reporter at the scene.

    Police arrested the man about a block from the SUV, according to neighbors who witnessed the arrest. Officials said the man is suspected to be responsible for multiple robberies in the area.
