• Owner arrested, nearly 50 cars towed off lot at local car dealership


    COVINGTON, Tenn. - Authorities searched a local car dealership Friday morning, arresting the owner and towing dozens of cars off the lot.

    Tennessee Highway Patrol and State Department of Revenue officers executed the search warrant at McDivitt Motors in Covington.

    The dealership’s owner – Marty McDivitt, 52 – wrote a bad check, according to Covington police. 

    He is facing charges of theft over $10,000 and “deceptive business practices,” police said. 

    Officials said nearly 50 cars were towed off the lot after the search.
