OXFORD, Miss. - Baptist built a brand-new facility for their north Mississippi headquarters.

They will start treating patients on the 25th, but gave FOX13 a sneak-peak inside.

The building has a larger emergency room, increased privacy, more functioning beds, and brand-new technology.

A hospital spokesperson told FOX13 all of this will benefit north Mississippi by bringing in well-equipped doctors from all over the world.

"By having a facility like that, were able to attract physicians that may not have wanted to come here in the past and now they're wanting to come here because of the availability of technology," Bill Henning, Baptist Hospital

Hospital officials said this is the largest economic project in Lafayette county to date and will treat the entire region.
