Police have been pretty quiet and releasing very little detail. FOX13 has confirmed that a woman is dead. We are still working to learn who?, when?, and how?

Police in Olive Branch have been on the scene since 2:30 Monday afternoon walking through a yard landscaped with crime scene tape. While neighbors try to figure out what happened.

"Wow. A murder in my neighborhood? That's different," said one neighbor.

A neighbor who lives nearby showed us surveillance tape taken from outside his house. He told us that police also looked at the tape wanting to see the specific time frame from 5 PM to 7:45 PMSunday night. Neighbors said the woman stuck to herself.

"Don't really know the lady. Don't know nothing about the lady. I heard she was in her mid 40's and she maintains her yard pretty good which is something you kind of pay attention to."

The DeSoto County coroner told FOX13 the woman is middle aged, last seen Sunday and was discovered by relatives on Monday. He would not say if there were signs of foul play, but if foul play was involved, people in the neighborhood say they hope the search for the killer is a quick one.

"I hope to find who done it real quick like," said one neighbor.

Olive Branch police haven't released the name of the victim or whether or not this is a homicide investigation.

DeSoto County coroner said the autopsy on the woman's body will be performed on Wednesday.
