Shelby County deputies identify body found in Loosahatchie River

MEMPHIS, Tenn — UPDATE (3/28) Deputies have identified the body found in a river.

Shelby County deputies identified the body found in the Loosahatchie River as Gregory Westbrook, 56.

Detectives are still investigating the incident, but they do not suspect foul play at this time.

SCSO said the official cause of death has not yet been determined.

Westbrook’s body was discovered in the river Sunday afternoon.
