MT. PLEASANT, Tenn. — The TBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Tuesday night in Mt. Pleasant.
Agents said the officer was trying to execute a traffic stop on a suspected DUI driver. The driver was the subject of a BOLO.

They said the driver led the officer on a short chase, ending at the intersection of Mount Joy Road and South Main Street.
The suspect, identified as Bradley Ross Nelson, got out of his car and showed a weapon, agents said.
They claim the situation escalated and ended with the officer firing his weapon. Nelson was hit and died later from his injuries at the hospital.
