HAYWOOD, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, TBI, said a man has been indicted on multiple sex offenses involving a child.
Randy “Derek” Byrd, 26, of Haywood County was charged with rape of a child and sexual battery by an authority figure.
Byrd was also charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means, sexual exploitation of minor by images and continuous sexual abuse of a child.

TBI began investigating Byrd and determined that he had inappropriate sexual relations with a child.
Byrd was indicted by a Grand Jury on Tuesday on the above charges.
He's being held in Haywood County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
