Teen wanted in Collierville High School attack arrested

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE: Ledevion Boyd has been arrested according to Shelby County Sheriff's Office. He will appear in court Monday.

A Collierville High School student was attacked Tuesday afternoon by three other students.

Officers are now searching for Ledevion Boyd. Investigators said Boyd is wanted for the aggravated assault at the high school.

15-year-old Keron Jeffrie suffered bleeding in his brain and several cuts to his face.

Linda Smith, the grandmother of the victim, told FOX13, “This bullying in the street needs to stop you know.”

Jeffrie was released from the hospital Thursday. The 15-year-old received six stitches on the back of his head and three near his mouth. The teen's nose was also broken during the assault. He still suffers from a cut on the front of his mouth.

“He's at home now. We just have to watch him. We just have to watch him a little closer,” said Smith.

Jeffrie's grandmother told us he will make a full recovery and will return to school after New Years.

“He's going to recover. Doctors said he should make a full recovery,” said Smith.
