TENNESSEE - The Tennessee Department of Educated has been sued by the TN Ready creators.
The lawsuit, which was filed earlier this year, says Measurement Incorporated wants $25,296,981.99 from the state for work the department demanded after their contract was terminated.
In 2016, computer issues left thousands of students unable to take the online test. Months later, the state asked MI to print paper copies. They did not get it to the schools in the time allotted.
In April 2016, the state terminated their contract.
The lawsuit uses the word "unreasonable" when it comes to obligations throughout the contract.
Chalkbeat.org reports that lawyers continue to discuss the suit.
