MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Police Department alerted the community Thursday after one criminal's three-day robbery/auto burglary spree.

MPD arrested 35-year-old Charles Ray Burns Friday.

On Tuesday, Burns hit the back parking of LBOE.

According to a police report and LBOE employees, one employee parked her car to open the store and Burns came up two minutes later, smashed the window out with a baton, and stole her purse, phone and $300 worth of make-up in a bag.

Roughly 24 hours later, the masked man struck again in the Cooper Young parking lot of Midtown Yoga.

Rachel Glazer’s co-worker witnessed the brazen robbery.

“[My co-worker] said that a car just quickly drove into the lot and smashed through the window of a Land Rover or Range Rover with his hand,” said Rachel Glazer, who works at the Raw Girls food truck near the robbery.

An employee at Midtown Yoga told FOX13 it happened in an instant. The robber came into the parking lot, smashed a customers car and drove off in the same black 2010 Nissan Altima, bearing TN tag M02-22A.

Police knew that was the tag because the car was stolen Monday evening off Lamar in South Memphis.

In just three days, Burns racked up a lot of items and victims.
