• Three teens dead after critical crash involving 18-wheeler and stolen car

    SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. - Memphis Police are investigating after a multi-vehicle accident on E. Holmes near Crumpler Rd. 

    Investigators revealed the car involved was stolen around 2:30 Tuesday morning.

    Two handguns were recovered from the vehicle, one was stolen.

    FOX13 has confirmed three people are dead, according to Shelby County Fire Department. Officials  said all three victims were men. 

    One person involved in the crash was a 16-year-old, the other two were 17-year-olds. 

    Investigators said the third victim died Tuesday night at 7:30.

    During the crash, a car lodged under the 18-wheeler, and multiple people were trapped inside.

    According to Memphis fire, they were called to the scene around 7:45 a.m.

    SCSO said the driver of the 18-wheeler is not hurt, but saw a blur then felt the impact of the crash.
