• TRAFFIC ALERT: Sinkhole opens up in Raleigh

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A sinkhole on the east bound side of James road near Walford street is covered up with barricades. 

    A spokesperson with the city said they are investigating to see if it was caused by MLGW water or a city sewer repair.

    Right now, it is difficult to repair the hole because of the rainy weather, which contributed to the problem. 

    The city budgeted $19 million for street maintenance this year.
