MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A woman is behind bars, charged with ambushing another woman and stabbing her seven times in the chest and upper body.
Corayma Martinez-Vasquez is charged with attempted second degree murder.
Police said Martinez-Vasquez and two other women came over to the 2600 block of Country Green and tried to get a woman inside one of the apartments to come out and fight.

The victim refused to come out.
Police said Martinez-Vasquez and the other women hid to make the victim think they had left.
The victim saw her car doors open and items on the ground.
When she came outside, officers said she was jumped by the suspects.
The victim was stabbed seven times in the chest and upper body.
She was taken to Regional One in critical condition.
Police were called to the Memphis Inn later in the 6000 block of Macon Cove.
A witness told them Martinez-Vasquez admitted to her that she was involved in a fight and had a knife. A search warrant executed at the inn turned up a knife hidden under a seat cushion.
