LOS ANGELES, California - Former Memphis Grizzlies star Zach Randolph has been arrested on drug charges, TMZ reports.
Randolph, who signed a contract with the Sacramento Kings in the off-season, was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles at the Nickerson Gardens area around 10 p.m.
TMZ says police found a large crowd of people smoking, playing loud music and blocking the road.

Police told TMZ three people were seen grabbing their waistbands and running, so officers chased them.
One of those three arrested was Randolph. He was charged with a felony, possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
Another person who was arrested was an ex-convict in possession of a gun, police told TMZ.
TMZ said the crowd of people became unruly after the arrests, and officers had to call for backup.

TMZ reports six police cars were vandalized by having tires slashed and windows busted, and officers had to form a battle line to restore order.
Police recovered two guns, drugs, cash, and two vehicles were impounded.
Randolph's bond was set at $20,000.
FOX13 learned he posted that bond. TMZ went to try and talk with him. TMZ will be on tonight after FOX13 News at 6.
Randolph just signed a new $24 million two year contract with the Kings.
