A Pacific storm system traveling across the southern U.S. has trended a bit farther south from the latest model runs. This may in turn provide for lighter accumulations of a wintry mix to extend into the I-40 corridor as the storm system exits Sunday. Though sprinkles of freezing rain and light sleet may fall late tonight into early Saturday over the northern counties. No accumulations/impacts are anticipated. A better threat for accumulations is expected tomorrow night into Sunday as colder air slides south behind the departing storm. Light sleet...snow and freezing rain could provide for hazardous travel as far south as the I-40 corridor. There will likely be additional changes with this complex system over the next 24 hours. Please stay tuned for future forecast changes and updates. $$
