FOX13 Forecast: Scattered showers on the radar for Tuesday

Temperatures are currently in the upper 30s near 40° with wind chills dropping into the upper 20s.

Skies are mainly cloudy.

An arctic high pressure system will take over our weather for Wednesday and Thursday. This means much colder air is on the way.

We’ll wake up to lingering clouds – a gradual clearing takes place in the afternoon.

North winds at 10 mph.

Highs near 45°.

EXTENDED FORECAST:

Colder weather moves in for Thursday.

We’ll start the day near 26° with wind chills near 16°. Highs Thursday will struggle to reach the upper 30s. Mostly sunny skies.

A warm front brings relief from the cold on Friday. Temperatures will be in the 40s for much of the afternoon. We’ll see the “high” temperature for the day around midnight – at 55°. Temperatures will continue to warm through the overnight into Saturday morning.

Temperatures will climb all the way to 70° on Saturday accompanied by widespread showers and isolated storms.

What goes up, must come down. A potent cold front will push through Saturday night into Sunday morning causing a nearly 40° temperature swing.

We’ll go from 70° Saturday afternoon – to the lower 30s early Sunday. Any leftover moisture could translate into a brief sleet event, but widespread impacts are not expected.
