MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After a week of teasing you all with the potential for snow in the Mid-South, it looks like we are going to stay dry – but you’ll never guess where the threat has shifted.

If you have traveling plans this weekend, let’s just say it’s a bad idea to travel SOUTH!

We’ve been digging through the data here in Severe Weather Center 13 and it looks like our friends along the I-20 corridor has the greatest chance of seeing winter precipitation.

While we are not forecasting a major winter storm, we will be tracking temperatures significantly below average through the weekend.

When paired with moisture associated with a stalled out front, we will certainly see some form of wintry mix.

While most areas to our south will just see cold rain, folks from Louisiana to the Carolinas are at risk for at least some winter precipitation.

Portions of eastern Tennessee area also forecasted to receive snow.
